This week's post from Culture Days Manitoba on the Culture Days | Fête de la culture 365 National Blog is about Dauphin's Yardfringe! Jean-Louis Guillas gets into tips for rural activity organizers, what makes YF so special, and why he believes in Culture Days Manitoba. Very inspiring. Big ups to Tourism Dauphin as well! http://culturedays.ca/blog/2016/07/26/dauphins-yardfringe-gives-new-meaning-grassroots/

We are very pleased to announce that Eric Plamondon will be the new francophone co-chair on the Culture Days Manitoba board of directors. Read more about Eric (in both French and English) below! Eric Plamondon is an active member of Winnipeg’s arts community as both an artist and an arts administrator. Most recently, he was the Director of La Maison des Artistes, an artist-run centre in St. Boniface. Eric can often be seen on stage, both for theatre and as an improviser. He has developed his writing skills not only to create original short stories but also to offer various media outlets an insider's view on cultural events and trends in Manitoba. Eric also curates shows with local visual artists and has mounted his own art installations. He has been a member of Nuit Blanche Winnipeg’s committee for the last four years, and a member of Culture Days Manitoba for the last year. Il a développé ses habilités comme écrivain, offrant des récits originaux, mais aussi offrant à divers médias une perspective unique sur les événements et les tendances culturelles au Manitoba. We want to give a special shout out to one of our new rural additions to Culture Days this year, Celebrate the Night, Portage la Prairie Oct 1, 2016. Yvette Cuthbert is the community organizer in Portage La Prairie, and she is working hard to get the community excited about Culture Days. Without community organizers like Yvette, we wouldn't be able to coordinate rural hubs like we've been able to do in PLP. We appreciate all that you do! 🎉
Our newest blog post is up on the Culture 365 Blog! "Keep in mind that Culture Days can be a low-maintenance and low-stress event that simply welcomes the public into your world and gives them a chance to meet you and see what you really do."
