Culture Days Manitoba encourages rural cities and towns to get involved with their art and cultural community by hosting a variety of activities. If your rural organization registers five or more events, activities or workshops in your community, the Culture Days Manitoba team will provide you with a customized promotional package to highlight your events.
Our goal is to use creative ways to highlight your community's hard work in creating an exciting and memorable Culture Days and Nuit Blanche.
When you register five or more events, activities or workshops you will have the option of choosing three communications tools that will help promote your events.
1. Customized Culture Days and/or Nuit Blanche Poster
You can print and share these posters at every location you host events or can be shared digitally through emails, online event pages or websites. Your customized poster can feature up to 10 events your community plans to host.
2. Customized Media Release and Guideline for Media Kit
A media release and media kit helps you formally announce your events to local media. You can distribute this media release and media kit to local media (newspapers, radio, TV news, etc.) and gain media coverage prior, during or after your event.
If you would like help to pitch to one local media source, we encourage you to pair this with option 3.
3. Pitch to Local Media/ News
We can pitch your event, activity or workshop to CBC Radio Noon (Manitoba's link between rural and urban audiences.)
Please note, pitching does not always guarantee media coverage of your event and the Culture Days Manitoba team encourages you to connect with different media sources in your community.
If you select this option, you must also select option 2.
4. Social Media Highlight on Culture Days and/or Nuit Blanche
We will create and post a social media highlighting of your community’s upcoming Culture Days and/or Nuit Blanche events. These social media posts will be posted on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We encourage communities with social media accounts to use this option to grow their online followers.
5. Blog Post on Culture 365 - Culture Days' National Blog
We will highlight your community's events, activites or workshops on the Culture Days' national blog, Culture 365. Blogs are great way to spread information, add flare and share photos.
To qualify for the rural incentives package, please register your events before August 1, 2018.
